The Sun City Chorale is El Paso first mixed-voice LGBTQ chorus. Our mission is simple: to foster joy, creativity, and belonging through the performing arts.
Launched in 2025, the Sun City Chorale is a membership-based, mixed-voice community ensemble primarily composed of LGBTQ+ community members and allies — though membership is open to all singers and vocal ranges. Sun City Chorale performs musical numbers across a wide range of genres, styles, languages, and musical eras.

What is the Sun City Chorale?

Is membership limited to LGBTQ people?
Not at all! While our membership is primarily comprised of people who identify as LGBTQ, the Chorale is open to all singers and vocal ranges.
Is there a cost to join the Chorale?
There is currently no cost to sing with the Chorale. Membership dues are anticipated to be implemented within the first year. However, no one will be turned away due to financial barriers.
Do I have to know how to read music?
While knowing how to read music is helpful, it's not a requirement. A willingness to learn and a love for music is all you need.
What vocal ranges can join?
We're looking for singers of all vocal ranges — soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
